** We wanted to take a moment to clarify something about our organic cotton labeling, especially for customers who may have one of our earlier liners. **
Our sleeping bag liners are made with 100% organic cotton jersey sourced from certified suppliers. However, some of our first production runs did not have “organic cotton” printed on the sewn-in label. We completely understand why that could feel confusing, especially if choosing organic cotton was one of the reasons you purchased from us.
The reason comes down to how certification works. The organic cotton fabric we source comes through certified suppliers, but The Snug Cove finished liner itself is not independently certified. Because of that, we can’t use certification logos on our labels or present the finished product itself as certified.
When we first started, our labels used more general fabric wording. As we learned more about how to communicate the distinction clearly and accurately, we updated our newer labels to say that our liners are made with 100% organic cotton jersey.
We’re sorry for any confusion this may have caused. We know trust matters, especially when it comes to the materials used in something you sleep in, and we never want a customer to feel unsure about what they purchased.
Being transparent and honest about our products is really important to us, and as a small brand, we’re always learning and improving along the way.
If you have one of our earlier liners and have any questions about the fabric or labeling, please reach out. We’re always happy to clarify and share the information we have from our suppliers.
Thank you for trusting The Snug Cove.
